Founded in 2021 by Allison Salazar, The One & Only Imaginary Band was conceived as a visionary project designed to break away from the traditional idea of fixed lineups, embracing fluidity and evolving collaborations.

Since 2022, the ensemble has been crafting its debut album, Looking For Harmony—a conceptual Jazz/Progressive Rock record presented in a musical theatre style, based on the book Buscando a Harmony (Searching for Harmony).

Embodying a spirit of collective creativity regardless of fixed personnel, the project brings together key contributions from artists such as Samanta Aguirre, Ellie De la Fuente, Celestine Wee, and Allison Salazar across vocals, guitars, piano, production, and songwriting.

The record is scheduled for release in February 2027 under the label Zingerman & Zingerman Music. Rooted in progressive rock, the album explores expansive soundscapes, layered instrumentation, and rich thematic depth, reflecting the band’s ethos of artistic freedom, experimentation, and collective creativity.

With its flexible identity and refusal to be bound by convention, The One & Only Imaginary Band positions itself as a unique force in modern music—an ever-shifting ensemble dedicated to pushing boundaries and seeking harmony through creative exploration.
